Breast reduction
“Large breasts” – those that are considered to be out of proportion to a female body and stature can be a source of both functional and social embarassment. Neck and back pain, grooving from the bra strap and skin rash are some of the usual discomfort that this group of females endure.

Breast reduction surgery not only reduces the volume to a size more in proportion to the female body but also aims at reshaping them. It can also improves posture and more importantly boost confidence and self -esteem.

Whilst in the past, the shape of the breast is largely determined by the skin, modern breast reduction surgery stresses more on the manipulation of the breast tissue to determine the final shape. The end result is a more controlled and longer lasting final breast shape as well as a shorter scar- (vertical scar).

Breast Reconstruction
Breast reconstruction surgery is now an option available for most women dealing with the physical changes following mastectomy for breast cancer. Studies have shown this to improve the emotional and physical well being of these women. Many women are unaware of the opportunity for this type of surgery; hence a lot of them “suffer” in silence, leading to depression.

Using new surgical techniques, we can now create natural looking breast mounds and nipples. The breast mound can be reconstructed by using the patient’s own tissue such as from the abdomen (tummy) or with the use of a tissue expander followed by a breast implant. The final stage will involve the formation of the nipple and areola. Following surgery, most women find they can wear almost all types of clothing with complete confidence.
